Dries Van Noten
Born in Antwerp in 1958, Dries Van Noten is the third generation in a family of tailors. Dries graduated from the Antwerp Academy, and was one of the Antwerp Six who travelled to London and made a slash in the mid-1980s. In 1986, he established his own label, and opened his first boutique in the Belgian fashion capital, Antwerp. In 1993, he brought his women's collection to the Paris runways. Since then, the house evolved into the eponymous fashion brand that it is today, having multiple locations worldwide with flagship stores across Asia, Europe, and North America, and over 400 stockists worldwide. Dries Van Noten collections are known for being a love story of fabric, print, and color. The Dries woman is someone who dares to cut her own fringe, embraces the comfort of contradictions, her femininity at once tender and strong. She exudes an ineffable mystique: discreet yet audacious.
