An Evening With Dorothee Schumacher

It was quite the honor for Hampden to host the first ever US Dorothee Schumacher Trunk Show in celebration of their 30^th year in business, as well as the launch of their Spring Summer 2020 collection. With Hampden being a woman-owned business, Stacy and our team love being able to support the many female designers that we carry in our store. Dorothee Schumacher's brand embodies many of Hampden’s goals as a company, such as empowering women through fashion. 

 

 

The evening was hosted in our new retail space, 312 King Street, which will be permanently opened in March 2020. The space was lined with pieces from Dorothee Schumacher’s Resort and SS20 collections for guests to browse. The tables were adorned CC Bloom’s spring florals to compliment the collection, which consisted of floral patterns.

 

 

Dorothee Schumacher is a lifestyle brand with a fashion heart and feminizes the contemporary wardrobe with sophistication. As Dorothee herself says, every collection is like a chapter in the storybook of the Dorothee Schumacher woman. Through the SS20 collection, she uses unique earthy tones that characterize the natural surroundings of the Berber culture, inspired by her latest travels.

 

 

Dorothee Schumacher excels at transforming women’s lives through fashion by offering a variety of fits for each style. For example, her style known as the “Poplin Power” can be purchased as a tank top, a blouse, or as a dress. The aim is for all women to feel comfortable and confident by having multiple fits for multiple body types.

 

 

Many of the guests and Hampden’s own stylists supported Dorothee Schumacher by wearing pieces from her old and new collections. As we enjoyed dinner, models showcased the new collection styled by Dorothee’s daughter, Collette.

 

 

The dinner was followed with a trunk show the next day at the Hampden store. Customers were invited to meet and be personally styled by Dorothee, herself, and also shop all the new Spring & Summer 2020 pieces. The collection can now be shopped in-store or online.
