The Position
Hampden is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Personal Shopper Assistant to support Hampden’s Senior Personal Shopper. This role is an extension of the personal shopper position, focusing on the administrative side of the business while maintaining seamless communication with clients on behalf of the personal shopper.
This position is located at our store in downtown Charleston at 314 King Street, and is required to be in-person.
Key Responsibilities
ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT
- Fulfill orders, make plans, and coordinate events
- Stay on track with client information, eventually understanding each customer’s preferences and needs
- Manage inventory and sales, understanding how priorities affect the business as a whole
- Analyze and solve problems with a solution-oriented approach
- Take ownership of daily responsibilities and volunteer to manage specific processes
- Ensure all tasks are completed, communicating needs and confirming completion
CLIENT COMMUNICATION
- Work and communicate with clients on behalf of personal shopper
- Exercise mindful communication and maintain confidentiality
- Ensure all tasks are completed, communicating needs and confirming completion

BUSINESS OPERATIONS
- Create and maintain your own personal connections with the clients

- Provide thorough and thoughtful analysis of business operations

EVENT AND APPOINTMENT PREPARATION
- Prepare for events, appointments, and daily priorities

- Ability to travel and work an intense schedule, including long days and early call times
- Physically and mentally prepared for demanding work (able to lift 50 pounds)
- Willing to adhere to store schedules and put in the necessary effort to succeed
- Able to work Saturdays (this is non-negotiable--Tuesday through Saturday is the weekly schedule for this position)
